It’s the 9th year for Chattanooga Market and we’re geared up for another successful season with a full events calendar and now over 350 vendors rotating each Sunday. Opening Day is Sunday, April 25th with a line-up of festivities in celebration from 11am – 4pm. The Education and Arts council be be there on Sunday as well to help celebrate Earth Day displaying “The Art of Recycling” contest entries. “The Art of Recycling” contest involves kids and teens at each city recreation center working together to create a collective “recycled art” project from the recyclables they collect at their centers.
This season boasts larger selections in categories such as fresh meats, cheese and eggs; building on last year’s growth. In addition, the selection of fresh produce will be plentiful with agriculture coming from over 5,000 acres of local and regional farms this year. We’re looking forward to strawberry season, starting very soon!
Of course, arts and crafts such as photography, canvas art, sculpture, jewelry, soaps, gourmet foods and many other categories will rotate each week to keep the offerings unique. Continuing tradition, we’ll have live music on the EPB stage every Sunday featuring popular local artists as well as many well-known from afar.
Keep checking our website, or better yet, sign up to receive our weekly e-newsletter (see link to the left). It’s the best way to be in-the-know on events, fresh crops and new items coming each week at Chattanooga Market!
