From the hidden studios of Chattanooga’s KZ-106 comes The Fabulous Stratoblasters to our very own EPB Stage.  The Stratoblasters have performed across the metroplex raising money for various fundraisers, entertaining crowds and generally having a darn good time for years.

A combination of high energy rock n’ roll blues and soulful original songs this duo brings excitement and spirit to the performance.

Chris Campbell & John Hare with their motor city and music city upbringings, bring forth a full range of musical expression in the songs they play.

The Chattanooga Public Works Department will be our featured attraction, and they will be showcasing their heavy equipment throughout the facility all afternoon; I can’t tell you how many kids (young and old alike) are looking forward to seeing the Big Toys used to keep our city in working order.

The heavy equipment scheduled to be on-site includes Vac Trucks, Automated Garbage Trucks, Paint Machines, Scissor Lifts, Speed Vans, Forestry Buckets, Grade Alls, Street Sweepers, Mini Excavators, TV Trucks, Knuckle Booms, Work Zone materials and the always-popular Dump Trucks. Various demonstrations will take place just outside the First Tennessee Pavilion throughout the day to demonstrate the massive power of these vehicles, and kids will receive hard-hats courtesy of the Public Works staff!

Since 2001, Pennies for Vicki has helped make a difference in the lives of thousands of women with breast cancer. “The first year, our goal was to raise $1 million pennies, and we ended up raising $3 million pennies.” said McCoy.

Pennies for Vicki supports women with breast cancer both nationally and locally and has made donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Why Me of Chattanooga, and the Helene DiStefano Fund. “There are a lot of things insurance doesn’t cover,” said McCoy, “and often women still have to work to support their families, so we are able to step in and help women in these situations.”

Dudding — singer, songwriter and creative force behind Bucktown Kickback — produced much of the band’s 2007 disc “Lost In Your Hometown” to sound like prime Appalachia. The record effectively balances roots grit and country rock coherence. “Seven Number Blues” is an enlightened redneck tune that sounds like a “Basement Tapes” leftover. “That’s Life” is a slow burn of honky-tonk molasses. A Neil Young-type rocker, “A Shooting Star,” closes the record. But the heart of “Lost…” is Dudding’s songs and lived-in vocals. While the embellishments are tasteful, the material could stand up fine presented by Dudding and his acoustic.”
