The Chattanooga Market launches our 2009 Season this Sunday, April 26 at 11am to a sold-out venue!  As the region’s largest producer-only market, we are thrilled to showcase an all-time record of over 150 different local vendors & farmers this weekend.

Be sure to come out and enjoy the festivities with the entire family;  admission is always free, and this is a great way to show your support for Chattanooga.

Local is Better!

Public Forum: TN Department of Agriculture

John Sanford, from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, will be joining us to discuss the issues, requirements and inspection procedures necessary to manufacture and sell products at the Chattanooga Market from your home (domestic) kitchen.

Mr. Sanford serves as the Food Manufacturing Administrator of the Regulatory Services/Food and Dairy Section, and has been active in visiting area farmers markets to discuss this new and exciting program. In the past, only products produced in commercial kitchens were eligible for commercial resale; under this new program, your domestic kitchen may be used if proper procedures are followed.

All current and prospective packaged food vendors are encouraged to attend; a presentation and Q&A session will follow the meeting.

When: Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 10:00am

Chattanooga Market / Vendor Update

After three weeks, The Chattanooga Market has grown to over 160 vendors providing goods & services direct from their farms, workshops and kitchens to you! We are excited by the growth, and our review team is busy examining new product applications from across the region.

If you have a product or service that might be appropriate at the Chattanooga Market, please download, print and send us a Vendor Application for consideration. All types of products and services will be considered, but you must be the exclusive manufacturer of the item you intend to offer at the Market (no buy/sell, or retail-only, is allowed)

The following product categories are VERY crowded, and new vendors are being placed on a wait-list:

  • Jewelry
  • Beadwork
  • Photography
  • Pottery

The following categories are currently under-served, and may be appropriate for the Market:

  • Food, Prepackaged (requires certified/licensed kitchen)
  • Basketry
  • Clothing
  • Musical Instruments (hand-crafted; no retail allowed)
  • Paper
  • Stone sculptures & art

Other unique and innovative ideas are always welcome!
